This blog is basically about me nagging about something that has been annoying me lately and I feel like I need to get it off my mind. I apologize in advance for what I am about to say.
But here is the deal, my county team is holding its County Championship this week which is its big decider on how you get to choose who is going to be in the team for County Matchweek (this is an event that I would like to play in but do not really care if I do.) Well here is my problem and the problem for the majority of people, I attend college in America so how can I possibly make the training days, or the team try outs when I am halfway across the world. Exactly I can't.
I know that me not being able to play in the championship is my own problem as I decided to stay here much longer that what was needed but anyhow shouldn't my results and the many other girls in America, shouldn't our results go towards the selection process for the team, and our scores be considered or used in order to help us get selected. You would think so but I'm thinking that they do not. And this is just frustrating.
The girls out here qualify for the team on average 2 or 3 times a week, and then travel week in week out to different parts of the country to represent their college, and do we get any acknowledgement for our achievements, no we don't! I just wish that my achievements this year would count for something when I go home to the county and country that I grew up playing golf in. I mean 5 or 6 top-10 finishes, lowest scoring average in the conference, and then making it through to the regional and national finals. I think that it should count for something!!!
Anyway ranting over, I wish all the girls taking part in it the best of luck. And I will happily enjoy the rest of my summer both here in America and back home next week!!
