Back From Nationals, Time to Start the Summer!

I have finally been able to enjoy the first start of my summer holidays. With the college year finally over both academically and athletically it is a good place to start the year by looking back at what I have achieved.
Although academically it has not been my best year, it is true to say what I didn't achieve in the classroom I achieved on the golf course. My golf game has never been this good since I was about 15 and it is looking like it can only get better. During this year I achieved 6 out of 9 tournament top 10 finishes. With recording a win, being named in the all-conference 1st team, and then booking my place to first Regionals and then nationals. And with that, finished the year being ranked 20th in the nation. So I guess I am really getting to achieve some of my goals while I am out here in America.
And to look back at the year, I believe that I could have worked harder, my fitness level could have been a lot better both with the work I could have put in the gym and also nutritionally. Also I feel like my practice at the golf course could have been more structured and better organized and specific to what I need to improve i.e. my putting (although I have to say this did get exceedingly better during the year.)
With this it is time to enjoy the 3 month holiday and then return to college with the goals of making my GPA more better during the fall semester and making up for what I couldn't do during the spring, and also to make a good start to my next golfing year.
The end of my golfing year however was not how I wanted to end it. I played in Nationals and it was my greatest achievement, it was something that most collegiate players do not get to achieve, and also I got to witness a moment in history with our tennis teams picking up both National Championships. However, I was not able to do that, my game was just not with me, I could not hit a drive, and when I could I missed a green. Or when I did hit a green my putting let me down. There was rarely a hole that all my game came together which led me to shot 81,80,79,79 (my worse scores in a tournament in my career). But to get there was an added bonus to what my goals were for the year, and I also got an amazing trip to Louisville, Kentucky.
NOW, I CAN SAY I AM ALL GOLFED OUT FOR A WHILE.
But now it is summer time, and I get to spend the first two / three weeks of it with the love of my life.   I am sure that we will get to do plenty of fun things including a trip to Charlotte, NC where I get to spend time with his family and hopefully go to a theme park =) Also I will be able to spend plenty of time sunning, and on the beach (my two favorite things) But it is going to be good just to kick back and chill before having to do the flight of 8 hours across the pond to see my family.
Now however, I am quite content just led here on the sofa in my new temporary home, with my baby's arms around me whilst I reflect on not only the past week, but the past year. In which has truly been a roller coaster! But I would never change a minute of it.
